Public Relations Senior Account Executive

The senior account executive will support the day-to-day management of several client accounts. This includes content development/writing for various channels, social media, media relations and other marketing communications services.

Job Responsibilities

General Duties

  • Assist in the development strategic communications/media relations plans (with measurable objectives)
  • Proactively identify and recommend communications/media relations opportunities
  • Develop content for key messages, talking points, media pitches, press releases, bylines, op-eds, newsletters, websites, etc.
  • Build and maintain relationships with key media contacts
  • Assist in developing new business proposals and participate in pitches
  • Network through personal contacts to identify potential new business opportunities
  • Represent Near Perfect Media as part of the community/business associations

Experience / Skills Required

  • Five to seven years of public relations experience; previous PR agency or corporate communications experience required
  • Bachelor’s degree in public relations, communications, journalism or related field preferred
  • Solid content development and editing skills
  • Proven media relations skills
  • Effective and efficient project management
  • Works well under pressure, easily adapting to changing client/company needs and deadlines
  • Demonstrates a thorough understanding of various client industries
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Strong presentation skills
  • Event management skills and knowledge
  • Works well individually and as part of a collaborative team
  • Strong networking skills
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States
  • Must be able to work in our Bloomfield Hills office (this is not a remote position)
