The Account Executive will be responsible for the day-to-day management of several client accounts as well as their social media presence. This includes strategy and counsel, public relations services, content development/writing for various channels, social media community management, and other marketing communications services.
Job Responsibilities
General Duties
- Provide strategy and counsel
- Social media community management for several clients
- Develop strategic communications/media relations plans with measurable objectives
- Proactively identify and recommend communications/media relations opportunities
- Develop content for key messages, talking points, media pitches, press releases, bylines, op-eds, newsletters, websites, etc.
- Interview client contacts and subject matter experts to generate stories/content
- Build and maintain relationships with key media contacts
- Work with management to identify and pursue new business opportunities
- Develop new business proposals and participate in pitches
- Network through personal contacts to achieve business development goals
- Manage the firm’s social media presence
Experience/Skills
- Three to four years of public relations experience; previous PR agency experience required
- Bachelor’s degree in public relations, communications, journalism or related field preferred
- Proficient in the use and management of all major social media platforms
- Solid content development and editing skills
- Proven media relations skills
- Effective and efficient project management
- Works well under pressure, easily adapting to changing client/company needs and deadlines
- Demonstrates a thorough understanding of various client industries
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
